What is UnICEG?

UnICEG is an active group of researchers who are committed to reciprocating internal combustion engine research and development. Membership comprises over 100 individuals/organisations with approximately equal representation from universities and industry.

Objectives

UnICEG provides a dynamic but informal forum for the discussion and dissemination of engine research. It promotes collaboration and provides a forum for discussing wider issues, but it is not a formal lobby group.

Meetings

Three one-day meetings take place each year, usually in April, September and December. Each meeting is focussed around a topical theme and they include, typically, 5 presentations followed by a tour of laboratories. Lunchtime usually provides stimulating discussions.

Venues

Many members are pleased to offer their institutions as a venue. This is encouraged by UnICEG and leads to a wide variety of both industrial and university locations.

Members’ quotes:

“An inexpensive way of attending three good quality technical meetings a year”

“Excellent for networking”

"A stimulating forum for academic, industrial and independent reseachers and the providers of engine measurement technologies"
